An impressive range of different effects can be created with your hair depending on the size of the heated rollers you choose to use. For example, large heated rollers used horizontally are great for creating soft curls that can be turned into waves during brushing out.
And corkscrew curls are very easy to create using long and thin hair rollers which are rolled vertically rather than horizontally.

You should never use heated hair rollers on wet hair and and should always be careful to hold the rollers by their ends rather than in the middle which could result in burning your fingers.
The secret to working with heated rollers is to make sure your hair isn't too soft or silky when you begin. So, with this in mind, it is best to slightly dampen your hair or prepare it with a dry shampoo, rather
than undergoing a traditional wet shampoo beforehand.
Your heated rollers should be switched on and left for about five or 10 minutes to
reach the correct temperature -
You, or an assistant, should start at the front of your head and take a small section of hair, approximately an inch back from your hairline. You should lift this section of hair up and spray gently with hairspray, ideally a firm hold spray. This will ensure that flyaway hair grips onto the roller effectively.
You should roll down from the ends of the roots using the largest roller. Most heated hair rollers sets come with clamps or pins which allow you to attach the hair rollers firmly to your head.
Next you should proceed from the front of your head, working back towards the crown area. Next you progress down the sides of your head, and finally finish up at the back.
When all the rollers have been positioned to your satisfaction you should consider applying a little more hairspray and then leave the rollers to cool down for around 10 minutes.
When dry the rollers should be removed carefully and you should loosen up your hair with your fingers before brushing.
